BarTech focus device
The BarTech Focus Device, or "BFD", was created in 1999 to fill the need for a powerful, accurate wireless follow focus system that was affordable. It was designed to be as compatible as possible with existing systems (Seitz, WRC-4) and motors (Heden, CPC) to allow operators with existing systems to upgrade to superior performance with a minimum of expense. Since its introduction over 750 systems have been sold in 38 countries around the world. The BFD exceeds the performance of the old standards (Seitz, WRC-4) at a fraction of the price. Its compatibility with existing motors (Heden, ZB/SLD, FMG-6) allows the use of readily available used equipment as well as the new M-One motor. Its modular approach and interchangeable components allow you to start simple and build your way up to a full featured system, while providing back-ups in case of equipment failure. Motor m-one: Optimized for use with the Bartech Focus Device (BFD). Very reliable and comes with a full one year warranty. Very strong and responsive. Takes full advantage of the powerful BFD. Able to turn very stiff lenses in sub freezing conditions. Extremely accurate, responsive and repeatable. Unique articulating connector facilitates cable management. High capacity, single row, hybrid cross roller bearing w/proprietary extreme temperature lube. High efficiency, single worm gear drive. Position feedback is directly coupled to the output gear which eliminates any backlash concerns due to high forces or wear. All components are made from the finest materials and processing using aerospace grade 6AL4V Titanium, 7075-T6 aluminum alloy. and stress relieved acetal copolymer for the lens gears. Supplied in a custom fitted Pelican, water tight, protective case. No tools required. Gears snap on/off with light finger pressure. System is supplied complete, there is nothing else you need to purchase. It is tested and ready to put to work.
