We're pleased to introduce our new breakout box that would solve the problem of connecting accessories to the RED without going directly through the camera accessory ports which are current limited to about 1A.

As well, it allows the use of our new high capacity NiMh block batteries rated at 13.2V and 28Ah.

Our new RED splitter incorporates our popular 3 pin Fischer configuration (at 12V) along with an 11 pin Fischer output as well. These outputs can be used for instance with focus motors that typically require greater current than the camera can source. The splitter is sandwiched between the battery plate and its holder. Beautifully machined and anodized, a perfect compliment to the RED. Our splitter also incorporates a blue status LED indicating the presence of 12V to the outputs. The XLR input is Arri wired and reverse polarity protected.  You also get a new lightweight aluminum plate that replaces the heavy steel one found behind the battery compartment.  With the use of the new plate you effectively have no weight gain to the camera with the addition of the splitter!  Our new plate has the required hole to feed the wiring through to the P-Tap connection point.

To add this feature to your camera, all you need to do is send us your battery mount for conversion or ask for the installation instructions.
