O-Focus Dual Mini
The OConnor O-Focus Dual Mini is one of the first double-sided compact cine camera specific units to debut in the production market. It is intended to meet the needs of professionals who require a double sided unit built to exacting specifications in response to the rapidly developing digital cinema camera offerings. It has been optimized for use with still photography lenses being used for cinema applications.
Main Features
The OConnor O-Focus Dual Mini is a low profile, double sided follow focus with a direct drive gear mechanism optimized for use with still photo lenses. Mating the gear to the lens is accomplished via a sliding dovetail which supports the main bridge. The gear ratio is 1:.75; meaning that for every 360 degrees of rotation for the handwheel the driver gear rotates 270 degrees which gives the camera assistant a longer, more exacting focus pull on short throw photography lenses being used in cine applications. To further aid in the adaption of still lenses in the cine world a new hard stop handwheel allows the operator to set minimum and maximum focus distances for lenses with infinite rotation. These hard stops can also be used as hard focus points for run and gun shooting. The O-Focus DM integrates seamlessly with existing follow focus accessories such as whips, cranks, and gears. It also shares many of the CFF-1 accessories such as the studio handwheel, handwheel extension, studio 15/19mm bridge and also a newly designed lock lever on the LWS bridge for extra holding power on the rods. A new item that is included with the package is a toothless friction driver for the use of rubber focus barrel still lenses without the need of additional toothed gear rings.

CFF-1 Overview:
The OConnor CFF-1 is a low profile, double sided follow focus with a removable swing arm mechanism optimized for use with cine lenses. The gear ratio is 1:1.84; meaning that for every 360 degrees of rotation for the handwheel the driver gear rotates approximately 660 degrees which gives the camera assistant a shorter, more exacting focus pull on professional cine lenses allowing movement from minimum to maximum focus distances with minimal turns of the handwheel. As a result the CFF-1 was designed for the higher sustained torque loads required in cine applications.
